Manufacturing

All our products are manufactured in China, which not only has low labour costs, but also a tradition of stone-working that is thousands of years old. Our objects are custom-made in a factory dedicated entirely to the manufacture of stone and wrought iron products.

The factory has been in operation for fifteen years and employs several hundred people, many of whom come from an area of China that has a long standing tradition of quarrying and high quality stone manufacture.

Some products are made from solid blocks of stone such as sinks, tubs, some statuary and small columns. Our fireplace mantles are made of stone slabs which are laminated, machined, hand-carved and hand-finished.

This process was pioneered and refined at our factory and has led to a product that preserves the integrity of the stone, while decreasing the use of material and weight. Dancing Stone goods are therefore more affordable to manufacture, package and ship across the world.

All structural pieces are re-enforced with stone bracing and fibreglass. This makes for strong components, which are manageable to ship and install. They are built to be free-standing and self-supporting.

Please note that stone is breakable -- especially slabs and exposed corners -- and great care needs to be taken in the unpacking and installation process.
